Keeping The Plot

What's in bloom?

We value the changing of the seasons and the characterful beauty of every stem. You’ll see late summer favourites ranging from phlox, michaelmas daisies, lilies, coneflowers, rudbeckia, larkspur and red hot pokers to chrysanthemums and of course, dahlias.

Claire of Plantpassion laughs as she picks a huge bunch of dark coloured dahlias, surrounded by a sea of peach, orange, red and deep plum coloured blooms in her flower field.

Dahlia mania

Dahlia mania will be in full swing in September with rows of dramatic, show-stopping blooms from small pompom dahlias to dinnerplate-sized decorative varieties in a spectacular range of colours from white and blush to the deepest, darkest purples and reds.

Pick your own day visitors in the Northumbrian Flowers poly tunnel.

Tours, teas and PYO

There’s a fabulous mix of events this year from guided plot tours and floristry workshops to Pick Your Own flower sessions, the chance to wander through the flowers or to take in the view over tea and cake. Check out the event listings and take your pick! Please note that advance booking may be required and there may be a charge for events.
