Hi, My name is Jo, (partner Dave) we started farming in 2019 as Applewood Acres, we moved sites in 2022 to focus on just beautiful cut flowers and so teamed up with business partner Carla (husband Simon), we are small-scale flower farmers based in the historic town of Hadleigh in Suffolk, and our farm is directly adjoining the famous artist & plantsman Sir Cedric Morris's house and gardens. We grow sustainable, seasonal (April - Oct) annual flower varieties, beautiful perennial flowers, & foliage, we have a dedicated 1/4 acre of the most gorgeous Dahlias! and we've just invested in 300 dutch peonies for our forthcoming peony patch. We offer courses in floral design, wreath making, how to start a cutting garden, and online courses too. Jo also does floral talks for local clubs & societies. If we are asked to use flowers 'out of season' for weddings, funerals, or corporate events/ installations, we may source flowers & specialist foliage from other UK growers or, if need be, import them. However, our main objective is to help sustain & encourage the use where possible of British-grown flowers & support other local businesses. We also offer florist buckets, seasonal bouquets, flower subscriptions, luxury picnics in the flowers, afternoon teas, bridal crown workshops, photography events, art events, 'Pick your own', and 'Dig a dahlia day!' not forgetting to mention our fabulous occasional 'Pop up Plant sales'. throughout the season and our super cute converted pony trailer shop & flower truck where we stock some beautiful gifts. We never ever use chemicals or pesticides here on the farm, everything is done as naturally as possible, working with nature, not against it. Our flowers have a more natural, countryside look with beautiful scents, whimsical and romantic. Weddings: If you prefer a more free-flowing natural look for your wedding, why not book an appointment to come and see us regarding your flower ideas? We also offer 'Custom wedding flower buckets' so you can create your own floral wedding displays. Funerals: We are always honored to do local funerals, please just contact us for details.
