Hello Everyone My name is Anya from 'Anya's Rainbow of Flowers', based in Madeley Heath, Staffordshire close to the Shropshire/Cheshire borders. I am a small scale grower, new to selling and delighted to be joining such a growing community with a great ethos. I am a passionate self employed gardener and topiarist, have always loved growing my own cut flowers and creating various arrangements for family and friends. My husband and I grow a lot of our own vegetables too and last year took our first tentative steps of selling to the local community at the garden gate. I was approached by a few people about my flowers they could see growing, and as I had reduced my gardening work I decided to do a floristry course to improve my technical skills. I really enjoyed this and it 'spurred' me on to pursue my love of fresh cut flowers and grow even more this year . We are passionate about local, fresh, natural, seasonal produce and sustainability is really important to us; - We NEVER use chemicals or pesticides on ANY of our produce - We make and use our own compost and only buy peat free when necessary - We use no dig principles - We re use ALL our old plastic pots and seed/module trays - ALL our vegetables and flowers are seasonal. Although I am still in the setting up stage, I will be offering mixed bouquets and arrangements for every occasion, unique wreath designs (whether it is for birthdays, anniversaries, mothers day etc or simply just to say 'I Love you'/'Thank you'), personalised funeral flowers plus a bucket service for those who like to make their own arrangements and supply/help other florists where I can. All our flowers are carefully hand picked first thing in the morning and conditioned just for you.
